About the Holy Family Parent Teacher Group

The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) was established at Holy Family School to promote greater communication and understanding between administration, faculty, and parents.  All school families are members of the PTG and pay a membership fee of $40 at the beginning of the school year. Monthly meetings are communicated via Fast Direct.   School parents are encouraged to attend monthly meetings.  The committee is formed through volunteers who have made a year-long commitment to be actively engaged in the PTG.  Reach out to any committee member or the co-chairs to join the committee!

Co-Presidents:     Michelle Peitz and Laura Mahon

Committee:  Akie Ferguson, Allison Matusin, Angela Malone, Anne Johnson, Buffi Kaufman, Danielle Cooling, Jamila Wicks, Kari Quintenz, Kristin Schrock, Laura Boaz Feriozzi, McKenzie Sloan, Megan Bennett

    Family Volunteering Expectations

Active engagement by student families contributes to our school’s success. In addition to supporting the school and our teaching staff, PTG strives to develop community in the school and parish through activities for families and students. Some of these activities are intended to raise money that allows us to fund technology improvements, educational development tools, and other resources that help advance our students and school.

To be successful we need your help! We expect each Holy Family Catholic School family to contribute 25 volunteer hours to support school activities. There is a host of ways to do this through PTG planned events, opportunities in the classroom, sporting events, contributions of requested supplies, and more!

Student safety is of utmost importance. To volunteer at Holy Family Catholic School, it is required to take the Protecting God’s Children safety course and complete a standard background check. This course is offered online and should be taken early in the school year.  The course only needs to be completed once.  It must be taken by each person who contributes towards your family’s hours by volunteering at the school.  This includes grandparents, aunts and uncles, and close family friends, etc.

For families who are unable to fulfill the 25 volunteer hours, you are asked to provide a $500 check in place of the 25 hours.

    Sign Up Genius

Volunteer activities are communicated through fast direct and Sign Up Genius is often used to manage volunteers. Families will need to go to Sign Up Genius to sign up for their volunteer slots. Once on the Sign Up Genius site they can search for the volunteer opportunities using the hfcschool2400@gmail.com E-Mail address. In order to sign up for a slot, families must create a user account on Sign Up Genius.

“It is the policy of Holy Family School to reward families who complete the required 25 hours of

volunteer service with lower tuition. Tuition will be lowered by $20 per documented hour up to 25

hours or $500. Families may also purchase supplies for the school in exchange for volunteer hours

with each $20 spent being equivalent to 1 volunteer hour. It is the responsibility of each family to

  • Testimonials

Nothing speaks more profoundly about the Holy Family experience than the voices of the parents and families we serve.

“We feel sending our kids to Holy Family has been one of the most important decisions we have made for our family. At Holy Family, our kids were taught their faith and had the ability to live it also. With a faith based education and the small class size, our kids were provided with an excellent opportunity to prepare themselves for their high school and college education. We know we made the right decision in sending our ten children to Holy Family Catholic School. “

    Tony and Mary Beth Couri

“Holy Family has always been an important part of my life. As an alumnus, Holy Family School provided me with a stellar education, a deep understanding of my Catholic faith, and an inspiration to become an educator myself. As a faculty member, I now have the privilege to share my passion of learning with my students and to pray with my students at Holy Family each day. I have witnessed, first hand, the powerful impact this school has on our youth. The dedicated teachers, faithful leaders, and family community make our school so unique and successful. I can confidently say that my husband and I firmly believe that our own children are not only receiving the best education, but are also being taught core values that will shape them into successful, life-long learners and faithful followers of our Catholic faith.”

    Jenny Douglass

“Holy Family Catholic School taught me what it means to be independent at a very young age, and I am very grateful for that. Holy Family is a fantastic place for a student to begin his or her career. The relaxed setting and caring teachers are second to none. They give students the problem-solving skills that will be necessary throughout their entire lives!”
