ADMINISTRATION

Principal

Welcome!

Hello Holy Family Catholic School Community,

I am honored to be able to introduce myself as the new principal at Holy Family Catholic School! Holy Family is a special place. My family and I are beyond excited to be a part of this great community. I am looking forward to working together with Father Mark, our amazing staff, you the families, and our Parish community to ensure a safe, loving, and faith filled education for your student.

Holy Family has long been a part of my life. I have many great memories at Holy Family as a parishioner, student, and teacher. I am a lifelong member of the Parish and a 1999 graduate of the school. My wife Holly joined the church in 2018, and we were married in June of 2018. Both of my children, Howey and Rookey, were baptized in the church. Howey will be attending school this year in our Pre-K 3 classroom with Rookey joining the following year. We love Holy Family School and Parish and believe in the mission and vision of the school. My family and I are thankful to be a part of the Holy Family community as the new principal.

The 2022-2023 school year will be my 11th year in education. Since graduating from Greenville University with my Masters in Elementary Education I have spent 7 years at Our Lady of Lourdes as a math teacher and Athletic Director, 1 year at Holy Family as the math and PE teacher and my last 2 years I was a middle school math teacher. I loved my time as a classroom teacher and working directly with students, but felt a calling to step into a leadership role. All of my different experiences have helped prepare me to be a leader. I look forward to working collaboratively with the amazing teachers at Holy Family to ensure each student a faith filled Catholic education.

Parents, we are very excited to welcome you back into the building this upcoming school year. We are working on many exciting plans for families to be a part of the school. We believe that the involvement of the family in a student's education and faith journey is critical to their success. I look forward to partnering with all of you on your student’s journey.

Students, I am very excited to see everyone, we have already started making exciting plans for next year! I hope that you are enjoying your summer spending time with your family and friends. Have a great summer and can’t wait to see you in August!

In closing please know that my door is always open to you and your family. I welcome your positive input and discussion this upcoming school year. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need anything or have any questions, bkenney@hfcschool.org.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer! I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started in August. I look forward to working together to create a successful 2022-2023 school year.

Sincerely,

Mr. Bryan Kenney

Holy Family School Board Information

The School Board was formed in 1992 to foster Catholic education and values at Holy Family School. The Board’s framework, dictated by diocesan guidelines, is not the same as a typical secular school board. The Board serves as an advisory council to the Pastor on school-related issues and the Principal. In general, it is the Board’s responsibility to investigate the needs of the school, listen to the concerns of the parishioners, and develop policies that enhance the education and Christianity of Holy Family students.

Board membership consists of the Pastor, the Interim Co-Principals, the Director of Operations, and nine parish members. Candidates for the Board must be registered parishioners or non-parishioner parents of Holy Family Catholic students at least twenty-one years of age and in agreement with the philosophy and purpose of Catholic education. Board members are selected for three-year terms and officers are chosen by consensus. Open meetings are held in the Library on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
